About Us
The short version
At Infax, we design, build, and maintain electronic message display systems. Our products help people find their way. Our systems are found in airports (for example, the big monitors with all the flights listed on them), courthouses and train stations. We provide the capability for our clients to communicate to their customers relevant information, such as flight information, weather, news, and advertising.
The slightly-more detailed version
Infax, Inc. began operations in 1970 under the name D2 Products Corporation. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, the company was one of the U.S. pioneers in design, manufacture and maintenance of information display systems for the transportation industry. The company provided display systems, equipment and services, primarily to airlines, throughout the 1970’s. An early adopter of microprocessor technologies, D2 Products provided some of the first data-to-video distribution systems to its customers. During the 1980’s, the company installed multi-user flight information systems (MUFIDS) that integrated digital-to-video designs, electronic light emitting diode (LED), and color display monitors in airports throughout the U.S. and around the world.
In 1985, the company changed its name to Infax to align itself with its key product known as the "Infax" system. In the late 90’s, Infax made the strategic decision to phase out manufacturing operations, integrate personal computer technologies and specialize in system design integration. This strategy was immensely successful and Infax is one of a few U.S.-based original companies that continues to provide information display systems to transportation, judicial and medical markets. Infax system designs are highly scalable resulting in competitive solutions that are used both in airports like Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world’s busiest, as well as in systems like Melbourne International Airport, a regional facility in Florida. Infax provides design, programming, project management, installation and maintenance service to its customers.
As Infax enters its 40th year of business, it's as dedicated as ever to creating solutions that are both technologically progressive and real-world reliable. When working with us, you can enjoy the cutting-edge technology of an industry leader while trusting the stability of an industry veteran.
